COMMITTEE DEFINITIONS

Board of Directors:  You must be a Primary REALTOR® Member to sign up for the Board of Directors.  The Nominating Committee reviews all requests in the summer of each year to place on the Slate of Officers & Directors for the following year.  CLICK HERE to fill out your Nomination Form for a position as a Director and/or Officer of HAR

Membership Education Working Group:  Any Member may serve on this Working Group.  They plan the Annual Membership Meeting, the Awards Event and The More You Know Education events for the year.  They choose the event locations and speakers.

Equal Opportunity Working Group:  Any Member may serve on this Working Group.  They plan events to educate the members and the community on Fair Housing and the real estate industry.  This includes Legislative Eductional Events.

Finance Committee:  You must be a Primary Member to serve on this Committee.  They meet as needed for the Association finances and approved the annual budget of the Associatoin.

Events Working Group:  Any Member may serve on this Working Group.  They plan the Golf Outings, Chili Cook-off and any fun events as fundraisers for the membership and the Association throughout the year.

Nominating Committee:  5 Primary REALTOR® Members of the Association including the Immediate Past President and 1 other Past President of the Association will meet to review possible candidates for Director and Officer positions for the Association and will recommend a yearly slate for the Members to vote on at the Annual Membership Meeting. 

Awards Working Group:  Any Member may serve on this Working Group.  They review the nominations for the Association Awards to be given out at the Association’s Awards Event and they choose the winners from nominations from the membership of HAR.

Professional Standards Committee:  Any REALTOR® Member may serve on this Committee.  They meet as needed by the Illinois REALTORS® for hearings on complaints filed and forwarded by the Grievance Committee.  Committee members are asked to attend yearly training to keep updated.  Meets as needed to review complaints filed by members or the public.
